Donate Diapers for Hurricane Harvey Relief

Moms Helping Moms Diaper Drive
Saturday, September 2
Walmart on Lakeshore
7:00 AM – Noon

Shelters housing families affected by the flooding from Hurricane Harvey are receiving many items including clothes, water, and food. Most agree that the best way to help is to send cash to a reputable organization so that exactly what is needed may be purchased and to not flood the cities with excess people and trucks. However, according to NPR one of the items that shelters need is diapers, and item not donated as much as others.

The average baby may go through as many as eight diapers a day, and with thousands of parents fleeing to shelters we wanted to contribute to helping with this specific need.

Alabama Baby & Child has partnered with Bundles of Hope and The Christian Service Mission to have a diaper drive with all of the products going directly to organizations that have already expressed the need and are ready to receive the shipment.

Bundles of Hope is a non-profit organization, and they can purchase the diapers at a substantial discount as members of the Community Diaper Program with Jet.com. You can give directly online, and discounted diapers are purchased via jet.com: http://go.jet.com/give-bundlesofhope
